I am just adding a quick post to remind all parents that the school will be visiting RAF Lossiemouth on Monday. Please remember to send a snack, drink and a packed lunch with your child/children. I would also really appreciate it if parents who have children that suffer from travel sickness provide motion sickness tablets for the journey too. Thanks for your support.

I would like to say a big thank you to Rory (and Rory’s mum) for the sweets he shared with the class today. It was such a nice thing to do, and everyone in school was delighted to get such a nice surprise! #HeartOfGold!
I would like to say a very big well done to Yvie for her wonderful writing today. Yvie has been working so hard on her phonics this year, and the results are really starting to pay off. Well done, young lady; I am so proud of you, and you should be very proud of yourself. Keep up the excellent work!
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the Early Reading Workshop this afternoon. It was so nice to have such a positive and enthusiastic group of parents in attendance. 
After Shiloh found the elusive Daviot Frog last term, it was a lovely surprise when Katie found the Daviot Toad today. Working in a rural school is brilliant!
Team Daviot welcomed Suzanne from Street Dance today. The class had a brilliant time, and they showed off some amazing moves. I have to say, Daniel really impressed everyone with his break-dancing skills; we could have a star of the future on our hands!
I have sent home some permission slips with the children tonight. I would really appreciate it if parents could sign and return them as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office. Thanks for your support.
I would like to say a massive thank you to Flight Lieutenant David King for visiting us today. He gave a brilliant talk about his job as a pilot in the Royal Air Force. It really was fascinating, and all the pupils were completely engaged. I would also like to thank him for organising our trip to RAF Lossimouth next week. It was so kind of him to take time out of his busy schedule to support our school.
I am just adding a quick post to remind parents that the Early Reading Workshop will be held after school on Thursday. It will last less than an hour, and Carol will be staying at school to provide a child minding service.
This term, PE will take place on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. I am also pleased to say, Louise will be continuing her Gymnastics Club after school on Tuesdays. On Wednesday this week, the hall will be unavailable for an indoor PE session, so I would really appreciate it if parents would send their children fully prepared for PE at the park.
